Maxine has had a long-standing love of all things hospitality after spending several years as a General Manager running restaurants. She spent time rocking and rolling as Manager of legendary Rolling Stones rocker Bill Wyman’s popular celebrity hangout Sticky Fingers Restaurant before swapping this for a taste of Spain as General Manager of La Tasca running various busy restaurants across Manchester. With great connections and a flair for employing the right people, Maxine decided that she wanted to stay in hospitality but do something a bit different and over 16 years ago she started her successful journey into hospitality recruitment. As her career grew Maxine did a variety of roles and was highly successful with a skill for really understanding her clients and candidates needs and was latterly responsible for all permanent recruitment outside of London, managing a team of 7 as well as personally focusing on both operational recruitment at all levels and executive search to CEO level.

Over the years, she forged great personal and working relationships and in September 2018 joined the team at Hesketh James as Head of Permanent Recruitment having known them for years and was excited about the opportunity to work with them again in their ever growing business. This gave her the opportunity to work with Toby again as well as her old colleague Del Jones of course!! Maxine is able to use her experience and expertise to recruit throughout the whole of the UK across all sectors and at all levels and is pleased to be part of this exciting growing hospitality recruitment business whilst having fun along the way!! Whether it’s placing candidates in roles or sourcing the right people for her clients, Maxine is very thorough in her approach with a strong ability to get candidates enthused by the opportunities, fully briefing them to ensure they have a proper insight into the role and possibilities within it. With a real passion for what she does,  Maxine works closely with her clients to source only those who will thrive in a role. She works hard and honestly for both employer and candidate.

Understanding that time is precious and it’s important that it is therefore not wasted, Maxine has a refreshing approach to her work, getting  under the skin of a business, its personalities and challenges in order to source  the most suitable candidates. With clear communication and a thorough professional approach she works hard to understand  both her clients and candidates and is dedicated to deliver for both parties. Maxine has successfully recruited roles at all levels throughout the hospitality industry in restaurants, bars, leisure, hotels, retail and contract catering and has the experience and network to successfully place any project she focuses on. She also enjoys socialising, going on holiday and is a self-confessed shopaholic!!!
