Location: Glasgow & Edinburgh

Hesketh James are currently recruiting for a Cluster Director of Sales for a highly-regarded hotel operator with a fantastic reputation in the branded hotel market. In this cluster role, you will lead the sales strategy for 2 key properties - one in Glasgow and a new opening in Edinburgh for 2026.

In this pro-active sales role, you will be focused on developing corporate accounts across both geographical areas and with a focus on developing strategies to proactively win new business as well as maintaining current client accounts. You will manage your own diary and time in a flexible working environment and will be meeting with potential clients, networking and showcasing the business' offerings.

The role:

  • Drive new sales opportunities through local market research, insights, competitor research, sales leads and agency engagement.
  • Lead and managing a well-established, small sales and marketing team.
  • Act as sales ambassador, working across the wider business to encourage sales leads and customer engagement.
  • Support sales activities to drive show-rounds and promotional events.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly sales reports and attend monthly sales and marketing meetings.
  • Account management with current client accounts, proactively building these relationships and developing these, plus annual rate negotiation.
  • Identify, research and engage with potential new clients, through direct enquiries, sales leads and market prospecting.

The candidate:

  • Solid experience in the a large, city centre branded hotel is essential as Director of Sales
  • An inspiring leader who can lead a strong already successful existing team from the front to even greater success.
  • The ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the business.
  • Results orientated and proactive attitude is required with a proven track record of achieving targets.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills

The package:

Not only will you get to work Monday to Friday for a rapidly growing business, you will receive an excellent salary package with a base of up to £60,000 (depending on experience) + 10% Bonus and a range of company benefits!!
