Kitchen Manager – Healthy Fast Food Operation
Location: Manchester
Salary: Up to £35,000 + Quarterly Bonus + Benefits
Full time: 45 Hours

Opening hours: 11am-11pm

Our client, a cool and hugely popular healthy fast food operator, is looking for a highly experienced, hands-on and passionate Kitchen Manager for their new healthy eating counter service concept opening in Manchester. A new opening for Summer 2025 - this operation will be a go-to hotspot for those who love to maintain a healthy lifestyle as well as diehard foodies!

We are looking for a hands-on, personable and Kitchen  Manager with a strong passion for healthy fresh food and solid proven all-round management experience – ideally from a fresh food counter service background. Although the operation will have seating for diners; the service style will be counter service and due to the size of the operation, you will be managing a small team and sometimes be expected to work on your own. The ideal manager will be full of personality, have a real passion for fresh food, healthy eating and will be able a strong advocate as the face of the business - a real all-rounder!

As Kitchen Manager, you will:

  • Support the General Manager in the recruitment, induction and on boarding of any new Kitchen team members.
  • Demonstrate your leadership with a hands-on approach and effective communication, engaging and motivating your team through pre-shift briefs.
  • Manage stock control and food margins.
  • Manage NSF, EHO and Health and Safety audits to a high standard.
  • Deliver to spec and brand standards.
  • Drive individual high performance through development and regular one to ones.
  • Have an eye for detail and thrive in a high volume fast paced environment.
  • Show passion for the brand, visible when ensuring your team are knowledgeable and confident.

The ideal candidate for this role will:

  • Have strong hands-on kitchen management experience and leadership skills.
  • Be motivated and highly organised and preferably have previous experience within a similar role.
  • Have a passion for hospitality, quality service and an excellent food knowledge.
  • Be enthusiastic, have a desire to exceed guest expectations and want to impress and progress.
  • Understand the financial and commercial aspects of the business.
  • You must have full eligibility to work in the UK to be considered for this position.
  • A great communicator - excellent at developing relationships with the  front of house team, senior management and others involved
